(Sound F/X: Loud car crash followed by sirens. Flash red and blue lights. Open with officer helping man who has been in accident. Man is distraught over wrecking his “Beemer”. Officer is trying to reason with him.)
My beemer! My beautiful beemer!
Sir you need to come over here and lie down until the ambulance gets here. You’re in pretty bad shape.
Never mind me. Look at my car!
But sir, you’ve got quite a cut on your forehead. I can get a gauze wrap on that until the paramedics can take over.
No! I’m not leaving my beemer. I need to stay and give her comfort until the tow truck gets here.
I think you must have taken quite a blow to the head.
She gave up her airbag for me.
Sir you really need to…
She was so beautiful, so shiny. I used to polish her until she looked like a mirror…
(Breaks away from officer revealing left hand is missing)
Now look at her. Just look at her! Crumpled, mangled, twisted.
Good heavens man! You’ve lost your hand.
(Looks at empty sleeve)
Aaughh! My Rolex!
